About Antu

AntuAntu is a town that belongs to Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. It is located at a distance of 21 km from the district headquarters Pratapgarh and 151 km from the state capital Lucknow. The Purani Bazar in the town is a very popular landmark in Antu as it is one of the very old markets in India. The town is also very popular for two significant spots namely, Maa Sati Devi Temple, located very close to Purani Bazar and Maa Jalipa Devi Mandir.

Hindi, Urdu and Awadhi are the chief spoken languages of the town. Antu has no notable industrial or business development so it falls under the most backward development regions of Uttar Pradesh. Antu town is sited very close to the banks of Sai River.

It is bounded by Sangrampur Tehsil in the west, Bhadar Tehsil in the North, Amethi Tehsil in the North and Pratapgarh Tehsil in the South.
